As a member of the team, you will receive the training, support and incentives to help you achieve excellence in your work.Job Title: Plumbing SuperintendentPRIMARY FUNCTION: We are searching for an experienced Plumbing Superintendent who will provide overall direction and guidance to plumbing field supervision and craft personnel and ensure adherence to Kilgore's quality, safety, and cost-efficiency guidelines.PRIMARY DUTIES:Plan, direct, and coordinate craft personnel in support of the field's fluctuating labor needs for activities related to plumbing construction and maintenanceDirect, support, and mentor all subordinate supervisory personnel. Ensure compliance with safety and administrative requirementsServe as senior technical advisor. Assist with difficult construction and start-up problems as necessaryEnsure all company, department, and technical policies, procedures, standards, etc., are adhered to. Interpret policies as requiredAssist with the implementation and interpretation of safety policies, procedures, and programsParticipate in safety/incident investigations and reviewsAuthorize/approve all craft personnel transactions (hires, transfers, wage changes, terminations, etc.) according to individual performance and group needsDevelop, implement and monitor quality control programsMonitor and resolve matters relating to work procedures, complaints, damages, accidents, and delaysParticipate in the conceptual development of plumbing construction projects (drawings - submittals) and oversee their organization, scheduling (MEP, frames and concrete), and implementationRequisition supplies and materials for construction projectsEnsure superintendents routinely prepare and submit labor and cost tracking reportsAssist in the development of supervisory training programsProvide expertise and technical knowledge to other home office department headsAssume superintendent responsibilities when necessary or as directedPerform additional assignments per supervisor's directionQUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:Journeyman Plumber's LicenseHigh school degree or equivalent; some advanced education and technical training highly desirableExtensive (10+ years) construction plumbing labor management experience (or equivalent combination of education/training and related experience.)Thorough knowledge of all aspects of plumbing construction (technology, equipment, methods)OSHA-30 certification (if not currently certified, must be obtained within six (3) months from date of hire)Outstanding leadership, team building, coaching and motivational skillsStrong oral and written communication skillsOutstanding scheduling and forecasting skillsSolid MS Office skills and ability/desire to learn new softwareAvailable for 25% travel (may vary significantly among individuals in this position)Kilgore Industries, LP offers competitive compensation packages, paid company holidays, flexible 401K plan as well as health benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life/ AD&D, STD, LTD and supplemental life insurance.
