Responsibilities / Job Duties:
Review and validate basic prescription drug refill requests according to established clinical policies and procedures.
Assist in preparing, dispensing, picking, and packing medications and specialized supplies for routine patient deliveries.
Maintain cleanroom and pharmacy equipment through calibration, inspection, cleaning, testing, and surface/laminar flow hood sanitization.
Receive, stock, and store incoming supplies and materials while monitoring expiration dates, managing inventory levels, and identifying shortages.
Maintain basic patient profile information and coordinate routine delivery schedules to ensure a seamless patient experience.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Active Illinois Pharmacy Technician License in good standing.
Active National Certification required ( PTCB or NHA / CPhT ).
2+ years of pharmacy technician experience required.
Preferred: Prior experience in a closed-door, home infusion, specialty pharmacy, or hospital cleanroom setting.
Schedule / Shift:
Training Period: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Post-Training Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday with shifts falling within an 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM daytime window. No late nights, no weekends!
