Overview

We are seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician, sometimes referred to as a Registered CertificatedPharmacyTechnician, Pharmacy Tech (CPhT)or Board-Certified Pharmacy Technician.TheCertified Pharmacy Technicians (CPhTs) support pharmacists by preparing and dispensing medications, including sterile IVs, chemotherapy, and unit-dose drugs for patients. They manage medication inventory across patient care areas,maintainautomated dispensing systems, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Certified Pharmacy Technicians play a vital role in patient safety by verifying orders, preventing errors, and ensuringtimelydelivery of critical medications.

Employment Type: Full Time

Hours: 8-hour shifts–8:00am to 4:30pm

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Prepare and dispense medications including unit-dose, IV admixtures, chemotherapy, andoperateautomated dispensing cabinets
• Manage inventory across nursing units, crash carts, and automated systems while handling controlled substances and monitoring expirations
• Enter and verify medication orders in hospital EMR systems to ensure accuracy of dosage, form, route, and frequency
• Support patient safety by checking labels,assistingwith medication reconciliation, delivering medications, and preparing drugs for specialized populations
• Comply withUSP standards,maintainregulatory documentation, and take on specialized roles such as IV compounding, clinical support, or lead technician duties

Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:

1. Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred

2. State Pharmacy Technician License/Registration required (if required by state regulations)

3. High school diploma or equivalent

4. Graduate of ASHP-accredited or equivalent pharmacy technician training program preferred

5. 340B program experience preferred (if at a 340B facility)
